With the rapid growth of the low-altitude economy, air threats posed by low-slow-small UAVs and loitering munitions have become increasingly prominent. Conventional soft-kill countermeasures such as electromagnetic interference show limitations when countering frequency-hopping targets or targets without radio-link communication.
The rocket-type interceptor UAV leverages its onboard multi-spectral seeker and AI-powered intelligent recognition algorithms. It neutralizes aerial threats physically through kinetic impact or proximity-fused fragmentation, effectively countering unauthorized UAVs and other low-altitude threats. The full system can be integrated with low-altitude early-warning radars and opto-electronic detection equipment to form an automated closed-loop workflow: detection – tracking – decision-making – interception.

This interceptor is equipped with a visible-light / infrared thermal-imaging dual-mode seeker, with visible-light as standard and infrared as an optional upgrade. It provides all-weather detection and identification capability, enabling stable operation under harsh weather conditions and complex electromagnetic environments. The anti-jamming data link supports ad-hoc networking among multiple interceptors, enabling many-to-many coordinated interception missions against simultaneous aerial intrusions.
The airframe is built with a composite structure of carbon-fiber and engineering-grade materials, balancing structural strength and lightweight design. The dedicated launch box supports 24/7 on-site standby storage, with moisture resistance, thermal management and emergency power supply capabilities, making it suitable for long-term field deployment. It can also be modified for handheld launch according to project requirements.
Field test results demonstrate an interception range exceeding 5 km, an interception altitude of 15–500 meters, and a maximum flight speed of ≥80 m/s, with CEP accuracy below 1 meter and a measured kill rate above 75%. The system supports multi-constellation satellite positioning, including GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS and Galileo. The ground control station can directly ingest target data from external radar sensors and issue one-click launch commands, supporting time-shared or simultaneous multi-target interception missions. The operating temperature range is -20 ℃ to +55 ℃, enabling adaptation to most field operation environments.
The system is designed for low-altitude security protection of critical infrastructure and can be widely applied in key areas such as airports, oil and gas depots, prisons, convention centers, NBC industrial facilities, and border and coastal defense sites. When an intruding low-altitude target is detected and validated by radar, the interceptor can be activated for terminal hard-kill interception, making up for the limitations of standalone early warning and electromagnetic interference, which cannot fully neutralize persistent intrusion targets.
Low-altitude security is an integrated system. Detection radars and opto-electronic sensors are responsible for “detection and tracking,” while kinetic interceptor equipment serves as the last line of defense. Adopting a combined soft and hard defense approach, we integrate radar situational awareness and hard-kill response capabilities to provide customers with a complete low-altitude security solution.
Mskyeye will continue to optimize multi-scenario adaptation solutions. Combined with our in-house portfolio of radar and water-surface security products, we will provide users with end-to-end low-altitude security products and technical services covering detection, situational awareness and threat mitigation.
